We conclude the preseason tonight as the Jets and the Eagles meet in the annual Backup Bowl.
Do not expect to see many difference-makers on the field tonight, and they will not be on the field for very long even if you do. This game is about backups and fringe players fighting for the last roster spots.
Where is the intrigue? There are two areas. First, we are watching players on the back end of the roster fight for their careers. A few might make it and become future contributors in 2014 and beyond. Tonight will provide an early look at them. Second, tonight will be a look at some guys who might be pressed into significant duty this year because of injuries. This will be a chance to see what the team has.
As always, neither ask for nor provide links to illegal broadcasts of the game over the internet.
