Running back Joe McKnight failed a conditioning test yesterday and has been placed on the PUP list.
Joe McKnight once taught us that being out of shape and actively participating in an NFL practice can lead to very bad times.
Despite that very public lesson, the New York Jets' reserve running back has run into condition issues once again.
ESPNNewYork.com reported Thursday that McKnight was placed on the physically unable to perform list because he failed the team's conditioning test, according to a source.
Considering how McKnight talked this offseason about winning the starting job, this is a bad start to 2013 to say the least. His skillset fits the new offense well so this is his shot to finally get a big role on offense. It is kind of hard to believe he cannot pass a conditioning test on the first day.
McKnight can come off the PUP list at any time.
