Mike Goodson: New Developments in Case

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Brian Costello has some of the latest developments in the Mike Goodson case. Goodson's attorney says the driver of the vehicle has claimed ownership of the gun Goodson has been charged with possessing.

Anthony Fusco, Goodson’s lawyer, said the investigation report from the State Police says Evans was questioned about the gun while at the Netcong State Police barracks and confessed to owning the gun.

Fusco said the report reads: “He stated that the gun was his.”

Goodson is facing five criminal charges, including three related to possession of a gun and ammunition. He also faces two charges related to drugs.

As has been true since Goodson's arrest, information is still incomplete. It is unclear how significant this development is at this point in time. Any speculation would probably be premature at this time. Just like the Jets and the NFL, we will have to wait and see how this situation plays out.
