The Jets announced they have signed tight end Kellen Winslow II. Winslow is a former Brown, Buccaneer, Seahawk, and Patriot.

Winslow is an athletic, receiving type of tight end. He missed most of 2012 with a knee injury but had at least 66 catches and 730 yards in each of the three seasons before it. The Jets are in a dire position at both the tight end position and with pass catches in general so this is worth a shot.
The question is whether Winslow is healthy. He impressed enough during a tryout this week to get a contract, but can he hold up for an entire season with his knee issues? For the Jets' sake, let's hope so. If Winslow is healthy, he is probably going to be a featured part of the passing game given how little else there is.
