The front office turnover continues as Jets scout Kevin Kelly is off to San Diego. He is the second member of the Jets front office off to San Diego
Former Jets scout, Kevin Kelly also added to Chargers front office as director of college scouting.

Conor Orr says Kelly was responsible for scouting Jets first round pick Sheldon Richardson.
The #Jets have now parted ways with the primary scout on their second round pick, and watched Kelly (Sheldon Richardson) leave all in a week

These moves aren't necessarily an indictment on the people leaving. John Idzik is a new general manager who seems to want to bring in his own people. Much of the legwork for the Draft was already in place so Idzik did not want to start from scratch with three months left before he took over.
As I have stated before, outside of a few prominent people at the top, it is impossible to determine the competence of many individuals in the front office. Collectively, however, this team has failed to make the Jets a lasting contender so a major overhaul does seem to be in order.
