If you do not live in New York, you will be able to hear Jets games on the radio this year thanks to a deal the team has signed with ESPN Radio.
ESPN Radio will air out-of-market broadcasts for Dolphins, Giants, Jets, Patriots and Steelers games starting this season.
ESPN said Tuesday that it had signed individual agreements with each club for Sunday afternoon games. The teams' games will continue to be broadcast on their official local stations in their home markets.
....
Herm Edwards, Bill Polian and Damien Woody will be among the analysts who work the games. Additional commentators and the complete schedule will be announced at a later date.
Football is not a game that translates to radio as well as baseball does. It is a television sport. For those of you out of market who cannot watch the team, this should be a good thing. You will at least be able to follow the Jets.
