The New York Jets have signed LaRon Landry's older brother, Dawan Landry. Landry is a strong safety, like his brother. Also like his brother, he is a liability in coverage, so he will be more of an "in-the-box" safety. He is quieter in temperament, but is a solid, reliable tackler who had his best year under Rex Ryan as a member of the Baltimore Ravens. The terms of the contract have not yet been released, although I expect Landry to be relatively cheap.
My big bro just sent me a text sayin "Jet life to da next life".. congrats big bro..

It will be good to see another Landry wearing Green and White next year. Last season, for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Landry accumulated one hundred tackles and one interception. He is a decent stop-gap, as it seems unlikely that Antonio Allen is ready to start at strong safety.
