Conor Orr reports the Jets have been unable to come to terms on a deal with guard Stephen Peterman.
Free agent G Stephen Peterman was offered a deal by the Jets today but the two sides could not come to terms, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person requested anonymity because the Jets do not make negotiations public.
After inking veteran Willie Colon to a 1-year deal, the Jets are still looking to fill another guard spot. Brandon Moore isn't expected to return and Matt Slauson signed with the Bears.
That is fine by me. I consider that dodging a bullet.Peterman was one of the absolute worst pass blocking guards in the NFLlast year. If the Jets do not care about pass blocking from that position, they can save their money and give Vladimir Ducasse a starting role. He probably could not be worse than Peterman.
