Well, the New York Jets have selected another fullback. Bohanon will likely replace Lex Hilliard, who many have expressed extreme disdain for. Here are the two notable things about Bohanon: he bench pressed 225lbs 36 times at the NFL Combine, and he had seven touchdown receptions as a senior at Wake Forest University.
OC Marty Mornhinweg likes pass catching running backs and fullbacks, so in that sense, Bohanon makes sense. Bohanon is also an excellent lead blocker. Bohanon has experience as a FB/H-Back, so he is Josh Baker's logical replacement. Hopefully, he will replace both Baker and Hilliard quickly. But, he's a seventh round pick, so I won't get my hopes up too much.
It's on to the undrafted free agents now, as we'll see who the Jets can pick up in free agency. Zac Dysert, Connor Vernon, and Philip Lutzenkirchen, perhaps? What do you think about Bohanon? Boh Knows.
