Here are various second round mocks for the Jets.
SB Nation's Mocking the Draft has the Jets selecting USC wide receiver Robert Woods in the second round. Geno Smith, Jesse Williams, Jamar Taylor, Terron Armstead, Jonathan Cyprien, and Matt Barkley go before the Jets pick in the second round.
Mel Kiper's second round mock has the Jets grabbing Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib.
I think it would be Geno Smith if he fell here, but Nassib is also a possible future at QB.
He has Matt Barkley, Zach Ertz, Geno Smith, Robert Alford, Manti Te'o, and Margus Hunt gone before the Jets pick.
Scouts Inc. also has Nassib to the Jets in the second round. Geno Smith, Justin Hunter, Jonathan Cyprien, Menelik Watson, Eddie Lacy, and Terron Armstead are gone in their scenario.
I would really like Woods. I view him as a perfect replacement for Santonio Holmes and a good compliment for the player the Jets want Stephen Hill to become. I could also live with Nassib. I worry about his arm strength in a cold weather city and some inconsistent mechanics, but he can be deadly accurate when things are working. I wouldn't have touched him in the first round, but I see enough to not hate a second round pick if Geno Smith is gone.
In the Jets' favor in landing Nassib, the biggest perceived threat is now gone. The team that has Nassib's college coach, Buffalo, took a different quarterback last night. Whether the fact the coach who knows Nassib best preferring another option is a red flag is up to your interpretation.
