2013 NFL Draft: McShay Mocks Mingo and Austin to the Jets

Todd McShay has a new mock draft out today. He has LSU edge rusher Barkevious Mingo going to the Jets with the 9th pick and West Virginia wide receiver Tavon Austin going to the Jets with the 13th pick.

Analysis: This would be a good first round for the Jets and a nice way to start their long rebuild. The Jets have two first-round picks thanks to the Revis trade. Mingo and Austin are two players who can contribute immediately. They can also provide a new foundation for the Jets as their fans start to move on from Revis Island.

We will never be able to predict how good prospects are going to be, but I personally think this would be a beautiful thing. If things fall this way, the Jets would be adding a potential game breaking presence on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. I'm high on both Mingo and Austin.
