2013 NFL Draft: Wayne Chrebet to Announce Jets Second Round Pick

Al Bello

The last few years, the NFL has had great players announce the second round pick of their former team. That will continue this year as the league announced yesterday that Wayne Chrebet will unveil the second round pick of the Jets a week from tomorrow at Radio City Music Hall.

Chrebet played eleven seasons with the Jets, netting 580 catches for 7,385 yards, and 80 touchdowns. The undrafted free agent from Hofstra was only given a chance as a favor because the team facilities were located at Hofstra University at that time. He already had failed to stick on a roster after a failed CFL tryout. Somehow he was able to string together a number of productive years and become a fan favorite.
