GGN Mock Draft, Version One

Who will go where?

James Lang-US PRESSWIRE

Warning: I have never done a complete first round mock draft before. For the most part, this is what I think could very well happen, not necessarily what I would do if I were the general manager of each of these teams.

There are some players, such as Damontre Moore and Cordarrelle Patterson, that I think will slip tremendously. Others, like Menelik Watson and Margus Hunt, will surprise people and jump up significantly. As you'll see, I've included a few trades as well that are definitely possible. I didn't include explanations in here, but I would be happy to explain my reasoning for specific picks if you ask. I can think of one reader that probably won't be happy with the Patriots' selection here. I suspect I'll get a few questions/outrage about Sharrif Floyd as well.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.

To explain a little behind the Jets' selections, here's what you should know: Floyd is the real deal and will solidify a great defensive line. I considered Warmack and Austin, but I decided that the team could satisfy their needs at a cheaper cost. I wanted to trade back as well and grab more picks, and I can see the 49ers trading up for Austin to make their team even more deadly (especially considering how many picks they have).
