Washington Examiner writer John Keim reports free agent tight end Fred Davis has canceled an expected visit with the Jets.
Also, an NFL source says TE Fred Davis will not visit the New York Jets on Friday. Down to Buffalo and the #Redskins

That is a bummer. With Jeff Cumberland currently slated to start, the Jets are in desperate need of an upgrade at the tight end position.
Davis is like a better version of Dustin Keller. He is not a great blocker, but he has developed himself into a superior receiver. This offense could use as much help in the passing game as it can get. I guess the best hope is for Davis to stay with Washington. At least if he stays with the Redskins, the Jets will not have to deal with him twice a year like they will if he signs with the Buffalo Bills.
