When did it Become Popular to Poo-Poo Geno?

He was backed by a defense that surrendered 38 points per game. Let that sink in for a second. He had to go into games knowing that he had to put 35 points on the board just to give his team a chance to be in it. Save us Geno. He then proceeded to complete over 70% of his passes and throw for over 40 TDs, while only throwing 6 (!!!) interceptions on the season. He averaged over 3 TDs per game. He's got a good arm, pinpoint accuracy, gets the ball out quickly, and he's mobile both inside and outside of the pocket. Yet plenty of people look at all that and are comfortable saying that no QB is worth taking in the first round of this year's draft. What???

What makes people say this? If he's not a #1 pick, then who is? Over 4000 yards, over 40 TDs, over 70% completion, only 6 picks... Not a first rounder. Look at how ridiculous that is. Was it because the Baylor game (45-51, 656 yds, 8 TDs, 0 picks) was too early in the season? Were people disappointed when every game turned out not to be a video game? Why are people so nit-picky when it comes to him?

"Geno wouldn't even be a first rounder in next year's QB crop." Please. Cmon man. Bridgewater is a heck of a player; I love me some Johnny Football; and I'm driving the Taj Boyd bus; but none of those dudes have shown that they're on Geno's level. Look at the numbers. Look at the tape. Give Geno something that even resembles a defense and he doesn't lose a game in college.
