I think we should end this week's breakdown on a high note, don't you?

Q3, 9:36 remaining. The game is out of reach at this point, but that doesn't mean there can't be a cool play. It's first-and-ten, and the New York Jets are in 11 personnel, which means one running back, one tight end, and three wide receivers. The Miami Dolphins are in a 4-2-5 defense, with safety Jimmy Wilson lined up across from Greg Salas in the slot. However, at the snap, Wilson blitzes, where he has a chance to take Chris Ivory down at the line of scrimmage, but literally jumps over him. Ivory plunges into the pile but immediately retreats, and the race is on.

There are a few things noteworthy about this play. While Jeff Cumberland stands his man up, the right side of the line isn't really able to get any push on the play, which is why Ivory is met at the line of scrimmage. The second thing is Ivory really has tremendous balance, which we've seen a few times. Finally, I love that Ivory is looking for more yards at the end. When he knows he can't get anything extra, he puts his head down, protects the ball, and looks for contact.
