As long as John Idzik feels Rex Ryan is his guy, I can't argue with this move. The two have had a year to work together. Based on their performance this year, the Jets overachieved going 8-8. Few felt they could have a record at .500 entering the year. The tough work is now going forward.
This roster needs a major overhaul. Now hopefully the Jets can have a big offseason with a ton of cap space and Draft picks. This offseason is a major opportunity to build something to last. Hopefully Rex and Idzik are on the same page and have a plan to build this into a contender.
