This time of year the coaching carousel heats up. No matter whether Rex Ryan stays or goes, there will be a shakeup on the staff.
#Jets LB coach Brian VanGorder (and longtime college assistant) is heading to Notre Dame to be its defensive coordinator, per source.

VanGorder only joined the staff this season so his impact on Jets history will probably be remembered as minimal. Under his watch, Demario Davis has turned into a decent starter and seems to have some room for growth. How much impact VanGorder had is not clear on the surface, but he probably had something to do with it.
VanGorder spent most of his career in college before his time with the Jets. A stint with the Falcons was his only prior NFL experience.
Former Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco was hired as the head coach of UConn.
