In what is almost a must win game, the Jets trail the Panthers 16-6 at the half. Things kind of slipped away from the Jets at the end of the first half. It was 6-6 in the second quarter. This was not the typical Jets 6-6 game. Despite the low score, the offense was relatively productive moving the ball and at least giving the defense a rest. Then a long screen pass for a touchdown allowed the Panthers to take the lead. Carolina added a field goal at the end of the first half.
This leaves the Jets needing to overcome a 10 point deficit on the road against one of the league's best defenses. The season might depend on it.
