I think it might go beyond film evaluation. The whole "best chance to win" line is probably out the window. Geno Smith is badly slumping, and Matt Simms was no better today. David Garrard cannot even get himself active over those two. The quarterback play the Jets are getting leaves them very little chance to win going forward.
We probably will discuss this in more detail in the days ahead, but the decision will probably have to do more with the future of Geno Smith than anything. Namely the question is whether continuing to throw him out there and giving him chances to overcome the adversity than just sitting him down to rebuild himself mentally.
