The Dolphins have 265 yards of offense. The Jets have 39 yards of offense. The Dolphins have 16 first downs. The Jets have 2 first downs.
This sounds like the recipe for blowouts we have seen the last two weeks. Fortunately, the Jets are facing a decidedly mediocre opponent today. Miami has found a way to pull defeat from the jaws of victory with error after error offensively on the Jets' side of the field. Against an opponent that could get out of its own way, this would not even be a game right now.
The Jets can take the lead with just a touchdown, but we need to see them play a lot better in the second half for that to happen. The defense has to start getting three and outs to win the field position battle. If they keep letting the Dolphins drive, Miami is eventually going to score. More than that, the offense has to show some signs of life.
Leave your second half thoughts below.
