Week 10 NFL Power Rankings: Looking Through the Results

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Here are how some of the big media outlets rate the Jets relative to the rest of the league going into Week 10 after a surprising victory over the New Orleans Saints.

SB Nation (Jason Chilton): 20 (+8)

While Geno Smith Expressing contempt for last week's unjust ranking, the Jets played a ferocious game to knock off the Saints. New York loves to attack a weak front with Chris Ivory, and the defense was able to get enough interior pressure on Brees to force some bad throws and make sure that the run stayed on the table all day. The loss of #1 receiver Jeremy Kerley stings some, though, as it makes things even dicier the next time the Jets need to put a game in Geno Smith's hands.

ESPN: 14 (+2)

Geno Smith's eight completions were thrown a total of 7 yards downfield Sunday. Josh Cribbs' one completion was thrown more than twice as far (15 yards).

FOX Sports (Brian Billick): 14 (+2)

Rex Ryan is now 5-0 against his brother when facing off when both are either a coordinator or head coach. The Jets have yet to win back-to-back games all season, but that could change with the Bills on the schedule after a bye this weekend.

Yahoo! (Shutdown Corner): 16 (--)

That was a good, quality win over the Saints. Many teams in the NFL (including an undefeated one), don’t have a quality win as good as that one, or as good as the Jets’ Week 7 victory over New England.

CBS (Pete Prisco): 14 (+3)

At 5-4, they would be in the playoffs if they started today. Wow. Give credit to Rex Ryan.

CBS (Pat Kirwan): 16 (+1)

They haven't lost two in a row but they haven't won two in a row either. Next game, they are scheduled to lose after beating the Saints this week.

New York Daily News: 16 (+2)

Go ahead. Figure them out. We dare you.

Where do you think the Jets should rank?
