The offensive line is a position where continuity is important. A player has to make split second decisions in unison with the players next to him. Miami has lacked stability on the offensive line this year. The situation with Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito has made national headlines. In part because of this, the Dolphins have had to use five different starting offensive line combinations in its eleven games. Last week against Carolina quarterback Ryan Tannehill was pressured around one out of every three times he dropped back to pass.
The Jets are probably going to try and throw a lot of different looks at that offensive line to put it under stress. Getting a starter back would be a boost for Miami.
