Johnson has been dealing with a groin injury. He leads the Bills in all major receiving stats with 41 receptions, 471 yards, and 3 touchdowns. It is a tough blow for Buffalo, which already will be without it's second most productive wide receiver Robert Woods.
The Jets' cornerbacks were supposed to be a strength of the team, but their play has been uneven this year. The Bills' starting receivers on paper could have presented the Jets with some problems. A lot of success in the NFL is based on timing. This game sets up well for the Jets on paper. They had a week to rest and are getting a Bills team banged up in some important spots. This is the kind of game a team with Playoff aspirations really needs to win.
