The Dolphins have signed former Jets wide receiver Ryan Spadola to their practice squad.
Former Jets wide receiver Ryan Spadola has been signed to the Dolphins practice squad, according to multiple reports out of New York and Pennsylvania.
Spadola was cut last week by the Jets. He was a rookie free agent out of Lehigh.
He reportedly had a nice training camp, which helped him land a spot on the roster. At 6'3" 200 pounds, he is kind of an intriguing developmental guy since he profiles as somebody who can help in the slot as a bigger target than you might expect there. The operative phrase is, "developmental guy." It's easy to fall in love with the undrafted guy out of the small school, but the Jets cut him on a week they were banged up at wide receiver and scrambling at the position. That tells you something about their thoughts on his potential.
