The Jets are working out Josh Cribbs today.
Former Pro Bowl return specialist Josh Cribbs is back to full health and worked out for the Jets today

Cribbs has a long track record of being an extremely effective return man on kickoffs and punts. Even last year, he was one of the best in the league. The Jets showed interest in him during the offseason.
This seems like a signing that needs to happen. The return game has been ugly for the Jets this year as Clyde Gates, Jeremy Kerley, Kyle Wilson, and company have not done the job on kickoff or punt returns. A fully healthy Cribbs would likely represent an upgrade. It would be rather difficult to downgrade from what the Jets have gotten so far.
In any event, it seems like Gates' time with this team is short. The Jets did not give him many reps last week with Stephen Hill out. They signed a receiver today, and now they are looking into new return men.
