Jets 7 Round Mock

Because of our abysmal season i have started to scout guys earlier this year . My impressions of this years draft class is that there is a drop in talent from previous years in many of the skill positions . I think this is a bad year to draft a QB but because of the state of that position we might be forced to do just that .So with all this in mind i have finished my 1st 7 round Mock of this year . The results are as follows .

1st round pick 9

Trade .The Jets trade this pick to Carolina for their 1st, 3rd and 4th . They make this move to draft Star Lotulelei , who falls out of the top 5 .

1st round pick 14

Chance Warmack , OG , Alabama . 6'3" 320lbs

We need to improve our O Line . 10 sacks against the Chargers has shown us how the mighty have fallen . Warmack is one of the top players in this years draft . Both our starting Guards are FA's this off season so we also fill a massive need for the team . Warmack has been a star of the Crimson Tides O Line for the last 3 years opening holes for Ingram and Richardson in the run game . A real road grader type who loves getting down and dirty .

2nd round

Alex Okafor , OLB , Texas . 6'4" 260lbs

Okafor falls to us here and fills another need on the team . He has 15 sacks in 2 years , Shows a good range of pass rushing moves along with the strength to hold up well in the run game . Not as fast as some of the other OLB's in the draft but still a very good prospect nonetheless .

3rd round Jets

Joseph Fauria , TE , UCLA . 6'7" 252lbs

Fauria has 41 catches for 578 yards and 11 tds this year . Nice combo of size and speed , will be a match up nightmare for defences . A good replacement for Keller if he goes . Needs some work on his blocking but will be a great red zone target for years to come .

3rd round from Carolina

Cordarrelle Patterson , WR , Tennessee . 6'3" 205lbs

Whoever ends up playing QB need some more weapons . Patterson is a big fast guy who might move up draft boards before April but for now he falls into our laps . He has 46 catches for 778 yards and 5 tds and ran the ball for 308 yards and 3 tds . Explosive but raw , he will need to work on his route running among other things .

4th round Jets

Brennan Williams, OT, North Carolina . 6'7" 315lbs

I love the way North Carolina ran the ball this year and Williams did his fair share in helping Bernard's draft stock before his torn labrum injury hurt his stock . Great potential and will push Howard for the starting job at RT . Really great run blocker who needs to get better in pass protection. At worst , he gets reps as our jumbo TE .

4th round from Carolina

Aaron Murray, QB , Georgia . 6'1" 211lbs

Murray is a little small but has lots of other attributes the NFL teams like their QB's to have . He gets god zip on the ball and has a nice throwing motion . He completed 67% of his passes for 3,201 yards, 30tds and 7ints this year. Could develop into a good QB if given time to sit and learn .

5th round

Rex Burkhead, RB, Nebraska 5'11" 210lbs

Burkhead is a great value pick here . He missed 7 games with injury this year which is why he has fallen this far . Every down back who shows great power when he runs ,has great potential . He averaged 7.2 yards a carry for 535 yards and 4tds this year and had 1,357 yards and 15tds last season . Has decent hands too .

6th round

Rashard Hall FS , Clemson 6'1" 210lbs

Hall had 71 tackles and 4ints this year . Decent size and speed but needs time to develop . He is a two-time Academic All-ACC selection...graduated in just over three years .

7th round

Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE, Auburn 6'5" 250lbs

Philip is a really good run blocking TE who falls here due to injury . He has 15 catches this year . Could be a really good red zone threat
.

Well there you have it . Feel free to comment comment . Thanks
