Chiefs Hire John Dorsey as GM

The Chiefs have hired John Dorsey as their new general manager.

Dorsey at one point was a candidate for the Jets job. Some were hoping his name would reemerge if he lost out on the Kansas City job, but that was clearly not to be. Even with Dorsey gone, there are enough qualified candidates left for the Jets to make a good pick. That really is all you can ask for.

Nobody is going to be a slam dunk guarantee. You just hope they find somebody with a good shot of turning into a good general manager instead of somebody like Scott Cohen or Brian Gaine who would likely be more of the same. With the general manager search heading into its third week, there is no excuse for making a bad pick. The Jets have put a lot of time into this.
