Long before I became a staff writer, over here at GGN, there was a contest. The contest, was to give a short answer as to what it means to play like a Jet. I wound up winning that contest, and along with that glory, came tickets to a certain Jets/Texans game. The rest is history. That game and contest got me thinking. If I gave up hope and left that game when everything pointed to a NY loss, I would have missed one of the best endings in Jets history. Hope is a strong feeling, and we Jets fans are dripping with it.

I don't have anything to give away in a contest, but I would like to see what all of you think. What does it mean to be a Jets fan to you? What underlining emotions, characteristics, virtues, or whatever make up who we are as a fan base? This is a franchise soaked in disappointment, and missed goals, yet here we are. Our faith and love for this team still pours out of us, but what drives us? Without further ado, I'll open the floor to you guys. What do you folks think?
