Gang Green Nation Unites!

Fair warning. This isn't necessarily a full out post, rather a thread so see where we could meet up. I also have no idea what happened to the end of this post. The shading just happened...AAALLRIGHTY then

Well, at the suggestion of several people in Sanchise6 post, I'm creating a post about ways we could all meet up and such. There are several events coming up that could be great ones to meet up at. It would be pretty awesome to have everyone meet together and put pictures behind the stories Caeden got us to write. So here are some possibilities that the community can gather and watch

The Metlife Jet Draft Party: According to NJ.com and thanks to dvdvil for letting us know, the New York Jets will be hosting an event April 26th at the Stadium encouraging people to come watch the draft with them.

The party is open to the public and admission is free. Parking lots G and F will open at 6:00 p.m. The field and lower level of the stadium will be open to fans, and Jets players will make appearances

Now, I'm going to this. Already put off work and everything. There are some flaws as well as positives. The positive is that we'd get to meet (Or Hang out with if you've already done that) the players. The problem is that it is only ONE round. We'd basically be there for the 16th pick and we'd be done sans some trade. When it comes to more details about it, this is from the Jets Home for the Draft:

2012 Jets Draft Party
Thursday, April 26 at 7:30pm
MetLife Stadium
Come watch the 2012 NFL Draft on the four videoboards from the bowl and be there for the Jets first round selection.
Free admission at the West gate and free parking in lots G and F, no ticket required. Parking lots open at 6:00pm.
Go on field for Jets Fest, kick a field goal, and enjoy appearances by Jets players and Flight Crew cheerleaders.
Check out the brand new jerseys and gear from Nike at the Flagship Store.
Get your FREE 2012 Draft T-shirt (while supplies last).

Guests are welcome to carry-in:
• Bags or purses that are 12" x 12" x 12" or less in size. All bags will be subject to search
• Food contained in a clear plastic bag
• Factory-sealed, plastic bottles of water 20 oz. or less in size (caps will be removed by Safety Services staff)
• Jackets or blankets after being patted down or searched

Guests may not carry-in the following items:
• Bottles, cans, hard-sided coolers, thermoses or ice chests
• Alcohol of any kind
• Weapons or anything that can be used as a projectile or is deemed dangerous
• Banners, signs or flags of any size
• Umbrellas, strollers, footballs, frisbees, beach balls or laser pointers
• Any animal with the exception of a service animal
• Any other item deemed inappropriate at the discretion of management
If you can’t make it to the Stadium, there are two additional parties at The Nutty Irishman in Long Island and The Hill in New York City:
The Hill
416 3rd Avenue
New York, NY 10016
The Nutty Irishman
323 Main Street
Farmingdale, NY 11735

Of course, many people will have issues with what they've said. The Searches, the bring your own food policy and the no alcohol will surely bug people. Yeah, I can understand why people won't want to come to this. If you DO go, l may bring a sign or have a crazy hat or something. I'd figure that out if anyone actually says they are going.

Then the Fan favorite so far is the Jet Giants Preseason game. If you've been to a game you know the details. If not, it virtually the same as the above only you get to buy beer for $15 a bottle, and food for >$7. Only you'd actually stay for a half and watch some form of football. Tickets wouldn't be as expensive as a regular season game and I WOULD LOVE. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO GET SOME JETS FANS INTO THE FREAKING STADIUM AT A JETS HOME GAME AGAINST THE GIANTS. REALLY. I'M SO FREAKING TIRED OF GOING TO A JET HOME GAME SURROUNDED BY GIANT FANS. HAPPENS EVERYTIME. DOESN'T MATTER IF IT'S PRESEASON OR REGULAR. IT'S ALWAYS LIKE I'M SURROUNDED BY THE OCEAN. SO MUCH BLUE.

Sorry, had to rant a little bit. I was really pissed off at that last Jets Giants game for SO many reasons I'll rant about at some other point.

Going to A regular season game is also in the realm of possibility, but the price is pretty expensive.

Training camp Meetings as well.

And Then There is the Santonio Holmes Charity Bowling Event, hosted in November. It supports sickle cell anemia, and last year it was able to raise $35,000...over $450 was my own, which I half regret but hey for charity right? Right? Freaking signed Santonio Holmes jersey. Well, tickets are anywhere from 60-150 bucks. I'm probably going again but not paying anything else this time.

Sound good? Have some other example? Let me know, and of course, Tell me what I did wrong!
