According to Adam Schefter the Jets will bring in Chris Johnson for a visit on Monday, we all know how much Rex Ryan loves his cornerbacks and there is definitely a spot available there behind Revis/Cromartie and Wilson:

Former Raiders cornerback Chris Johnson is scheduled to visit the New York Jets on Monday.

Johnson is very much a veteran in the mould of a Donald Strickland. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2003 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. He really didn't have much of a chance In Green Bay and was traded to the Rams during the 2005 NFL season.

After the 2005 season, he found himself looking for a new job and hooked up with the Chiefs in pre-season before being released. This is where he caught on with Oakland and really started to perform. Initially he played on specials and some nickel situations. In 2008 he was given a chance to start and in 7 starts recorded 12 pass defenses and 3 interceptions.

In 2009 he became a full time starter in Oakland and recorded 18 pass defenses with 3 more interceptions. He made just the 4 starts in 2010 and 3 starts in 2011, however he was able to contribute both years with some positive performances.

With Cole signing on with New England and Strickland still on the market, signing Johnson would make sense for the Jets.
