In honor of the 2012 schedule being released tonight, I thought we could partake in a fun, little activity. Why don't we make our own schedules while we wait for the NFL to bust out with the real thing. We have known our opponents for a while now, but we don't know when and where each game will be. Here is a list of our 2012 opponents:

Home: Texans, Colts, 49ers, Cardinals, Chargers, Bills, Dolphins, Patriots

Away: Jaguars, Titans, Seahawks, Rams, Steelers, Bills, Dolphins, Patriots

Come join me after the jump for what our schedule would look like if I were in charge, and make your own.

Week 1: Home Vs Colts

Week 2: Away Vs Dolphins

Week 3: Home Vs Chargers

Week 4: Away Vs Titans

Week 5: Home Vs Bills

Week 6: Home Vs 49ers

Week 7: Away Vs Jaguars

Week 8: BYE

Week 9: Away Vs Patriots

Week 10: Home Vs Cardinals

Week 11: Away Vs Steelers

Week 12: Home Vs Texans

Week 13: Away Vs Seahawks

Week 14: Home Vs Patriots

Week 15: Away Vs Rams

Week 16: Away Vs Bills

Week 17: Home Vs Dolphins

I wanted to start the season off with an easy game to give this team the best opportunity to get off on the right track. I don't think there is any question that the Colts are in rebuilding mode. Rex has a way of eating up rookie QBs. A quick week 1 win will give Sanchez some much needed support and breathing room. The next 4 games after week 1, are all winnable games in my mind. A win in week 1 will give mark some breathing room, but not much. If he pulls off a chain of wins, it won't matter what the Tebow fanatics are yelling. The 49ers will be our 1st big test. Will our offense hold up against that ferocious D?

The Jaguars would be a nice opponent going into the bye week. It's alway great going into the bye with a W, and some momentum going into the Patriots game. I love having the Patriots after the bye since we will have more time to prepare for them. I wanted to end the season on a high note. I gave us 3 easier games to end things, just in case we need some last minute Ws to get into the playoffs. Overall, I think this would be a very friendly schedule for the Jets in 2012. What would yours look like?
