ESPN Updated Post Combine Mocks

Both Mel Kiper and Todd McShay have updated their Mocks, I believe this is version 3.0 now.

Kiper has the Jets taking Courtney Upshaw at #16 and McShay is standing firm in his belief that the Jets will take Mark Barron at #16

Rex Ryan needs a guy that can get to the quarterback on his own, meaning without a blitz package, and Upshaw is that kind of player. He plays with a high motor, sheds blocks well with quickness and violent hands and makes plenty of sense in Ryan's system. He's also bigger than he was listed at Alabama. The Jets could also grab Barron if he's on the board, or get a defensive lineman if they see a fit.

I wouldn't have a problem with Kipers selection as a lot of players were gone at this position, including Ingram, Trent and Floyd. It makes sense with how the board fell. However McShay's selection of Barron continues to confuse me, I have to imagine that they just don't trade down in the mocks but I'm only OK with taking Barron if we trade down to select him. We don't need to go over it all again but just wanted to update you on ESPN expert selections.
