Adam Schefter indicates there is an issue that might prevent Tim Tebow from coming to the Jets.

Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow's contract that could nullify trade.

Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex.

Schefter also indicates the Rams could get involved if the trade falls through. This probably comes down to Woody Johnson. The owner loves making a splash. He also loves selling tickets and putting the Jets on the back pages of the newspapers and top stories of the news. Woody, however, is a very frugal owner. See the whole Brian Schottenheimer Jedi Mind Trick with Jacksonville. This probably will come down to whether Woody can be convinced by his football people that Tebow will bring more than an extra $5 million of added value to the team in various ways.
