Black Monday Begins

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Sports

Black Monday is both a good and a bad thing. Fans get to see changes to their teams, but at the expense of people's jobs. There are a lot of good people around the league who will lose their jobs today. For every high profile guy like Mike Tannenbaum, there are a dozen low-level guys that are making close to minimum wage that will lose their jobs. Lives will be uprooted, the fates of teams determined.

That said, the New York Jets have begun Black Monday by officially firing Mike Tannenbaum. He may return in some capacity, but for now, he is gone. We had some bad times with Tannenbaum, but also some good times. Remember the Darrelle Revis, Nick Mangold, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Muhammad Wilkerson, Quinton Coples picks, etc., before you bury him. Rex Ryan is officially remaining as the head coach. We will have more updates throughout the day as we hear about other vacancies in the Jets organization. Please post any updates you hear in the comments below.
