Sunday Night Football Open Thread

Kyle Terada-US PRESSWIRE

We conclude Week 16 of the 2012 NFL season with a Sunday Night showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. It should be a very good game between teams with stifling defenses and dynamic young quarterbacks with serious implications in the NFC West race.

The 49ers clinch the NFC West Championship for the second straight year with a win. The Seahawks clinch a spot in the Playoffs for the second time in three years with a win and move to within a half game of the division lead with a week to go.

Enjoy this one. You have earned it by sitting through enough bad Jets football this year. Odds are, you will be watching both of these teams play after next week. By this time next week, you won't have to watch the Jets again for nine months. Maybe they'll make improvements in the offseason and become enjoyable to watch again.
