SB Nation's newest power rankings are out. The Jets check in at 25th.
25. New York Jets (LW: 22, 4-7): Of their seven losses, five have come in blowouts. They're not even competitive.
I have been critical of the talent level on this team, and I think justly so. There are too many spots where the Jets are sending out well below average players.
I am of the belief that below average players make you lose games. But below average coaching makes you not competitive in games. There have been far too many spots where the Jets have repeatedly made the same horrible mistakes, not used personnel properly, and sleepwalked. Those things are on the coaching.
I question how the Jets could be behind Buffalo on this list, but that alone is an indication of the kind of season this is. I'm complaining my team is 25th instead of 23rd in the power rankings.
