We told you the other day about the party MetLife was throwing in Bryant Park to celebrate the naming rights to the new stadium. MetLife is also sponsoring a trophy to go to the winner of the game. JR Sport Brief was there and got a short video with Rex Ryan and Tom Coughlin talking about the game. He was kind enough to share the video with us.
I think it is cool that MetLife is trying to put some juice into the game. I am just not sure how important you can make a preseason game. I only think this game will really start to take on life if there is an annual regular season meeting, preferably late in the season like will take place this year. Give these teams a chance to knock each other out of the Playoffs. If the league is going to add games to the season, it makes sense.
