Reports surfaced last night that the Jets were looking to land Bills corner Drayton Florence. He will stay in Buffalo, though, according to Adam Schefter.

CB Drayton Florence to the Bills -- 3 years for $15 million.

He's a good player and a playmaker. He would have fit nicely across from Darrelle Revis. It also would have been nice to take away the best corner from a division rival, even if it is the Bills. Considering the Jets have shoved their chips to the center of the table on Nnamdi Asomguha, though, they were probably not ready to make a commitment so Florence decided to stay where he is comfortable and get paid.

I still cannot say I am terribly concerned about the corner position even if the Jets miss Asomugha. I think most free agents will be inclined to wait for Nnamdi to set the market so they do not end up taking a bad deal before they see what the best guy at the position is commanding.
