The Top 15 Players of the Rex Ryan Era, #15: LaDainian Tomlinson

If NFL Network's list of top 100 players is going to neglect so many quality players from the Jets, I am going to make my own list. This list is less about who makes the list and more about the order in which they are in. I was going to do a top 10 list, but I would be leaving out too many deserving players and expanded it to 15.

Without further adieu, the15th best Jet in the Rex Ryan era is none other than LaDainian Tomlinson. While he did tail off at the end of 2010, his was absolutely tremendous for the first half of the season, specifically against the Bills and Vikings earlier in the season. He was a great option on third downs as a blocker and receiver.

But he saved his most important contributions for the locker room. Everyone wanted to play well for guys like LT, guys trying to get that ring before their illustrious career was over, even if that mean moving across the country to play for a new team. Some of you may remember his infamous "Lombardi" speech he gave.

Who will be #14? Here's a hint: The Jets traded up to draft this player.
