Saying Jason Taylor's last season with the Jets was a disappointment would be an understatement.
For the money he was paid, one would think Gang Green would have received better than the 25 tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles he contributed to the team in 2010-11.
As such, the Jets cut him back in February to free up money.
But still, Taylor wants to return, according to a statement he made on NFL Live (per Evan Silva):
I'd love to come back and play one more year in New York.
I love his passion, but would rather see him on another team even if he were to take a pay cut. OLB has been an issue for the Jets in previous years and it's time to get some of the younger guys in the system some reps there (with Calvin Pace opposite them at ROLB).
