NJ.com has a story about Shonn Greene celebrating his first Father's Day as a father and how he has actually enjoyed the lockout in some ways.
But when he watches Jeremiah crawl around today on his first Father’s Day, Greene will appreciate the opportunity for parenthood amid the work stoppage. For a while, he can be there and not worry about the outside world.
"When people ask me about the lockout, basically almost everything is negative. But the one part I kind of praise is the time I get to spend with my family," he said. "You know, that ‘extra’ time."
This take on the lockout is the unique one.
The NFL lifestyle is a difficult one to find a work-life balance. These guys spend so much time during the season practicing, studying, and traveling that is can be tough to find time for the things that matter. It is nice for Shonn that he can find a little more time because of the work stoppage.
