Braylon Edwards recently made news for all of the right reasons. He made good on a promise to pay for 100 Cleveland youngsters to go to college. Braylon stopped by First Take on ESPN yesterday to talk about this great program. Maybe more publicity for things like this will stop Cleveland fans from treating him like he is LeBron James.
Braylon appeared on the show with one of the recipients, William Johnson. The two discuss the bond Braylon built with the kids, and the decision he made to keep his word even after being traded out of Cleveland. Based on this interview, it sounds like the wide receiver had an enormous impact on the way these kids motivated themselves and their overall outlook on life. Not as important, Braylon also recruited a new fan to the Jets.
The video of the interview is embedded below for your viewing pleasure. It is pretty touching.
