New York Jets Projected to Have Among the Youngest Offensive Lines in NFL

Jimmy K of SB Nation's Philadelphia Eagles blog Bleeding Green Nation has compiled a listing of the age of every team's starting offensive line on his other site, Blogging the Beast. As things stand now, the Jets have the sixth youngest line.

26 Jets 9,946 27 years, 2 months, 24 days

The youngest projected starter, Vladimir Ducasse, is the biggest question mark. Ducasse could make or break the success of the line if he is in there. He has raw ability, but has it become refined enough? It is funny how fluid these things are, though. Say the Jets are not confident in Ducasse and bring back Damien Woody. Woody is about 10 years older. He would bring the Jets' average to over 29 years and make them one of the ten oldest starting lines in the league.

The real silver lining here is the pair of 27 year olds starting, D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold, are already among the top five at their respective positions in the NFL and presumably entering their athletic primes.
