...Who would it be? Imagine the Jets had a chance to add any player they wanted. Money would not be an issue. They would not have to give up anything in return. What player would you want them to choose?
I am sure many would want an elite pass rusher like DeMarcus Ware or Terrell Suggs. Others might want a playmaker at safety like Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu. Others still might want Nnamdi Asomugha to pair with Darrelle Revis.
My choice is His Bieberness, Tom Brady.
I understand Mark Sanchez has great potential and is developing. He has the chance to break out soon. This team is built to win now. A top notch defense and a top notch run game are already in place. There is talent in the receiving corps. An elite level quarterback like Brady would make the passing game elite and the Jets the team to beat in the NFL for the foreseeable future.
I think Peyton Manning is better than Brady, but strategy goes into my thinking. Adding Brady also takes him away from the Patriots, the main competition in the division. It's a double whammy.
This is obviously exceptionally unlikely, but so is just adding just about any elite talent. That's the fun of the process.
Who would you take?
