The mothership has another mock draft out. Like in some of his past work, Brian Galliford has a UCLA linebacker wearing green and white at 30.

30. New York Jets: Akeem Ayers, OLB, UCLA. As the saying about Rex Ryan goes, he collects pass rushers and defensive backs on draft day. Despite that tendency, he still hasn't been able to milk what he needs out of the Jets' group of pass rushers. Ayers isn't an elite athlete, but there's more than enough there for Ryan to work with.

I will not dispute that the Jets view outside linebacker as a need. The team easily could have brought back Jason Taylor at an affordable salary if it was happy with the status quo. I am still somewhat skeptical on Ayers as a prospect, but I will not argue with Brian on one thing. Rex Ryan is most definitely the right coach to get something out of him.
