Does Randy Moss Want to Return to New England Patriots?

You know it is the dead time of the NFL's hot stove lacking league. Randy Moss had an interview with a radio yesterday where he talked about how much he loved being a Patriot.

"If you're asking me where my heart and where I'm happy is, I love playing with Tom Brady. I love being coached by Bill Belichick," Moss said Wednesday on KFAN 1130-AM in Minneapolis.

You can expect speculation about the free agent potentially returning to New England. The Pats did have a chance to claim him during the season off waivers from the Vikings and did not do so. They were playing very well at that point, though. After the way the Jets exposed their lack of a deep threat in the Playoffs, could they be tempted? I suppose we will find out.

While adding a deep threat would help New England overall, it is less certain how much help it would be in head to head games against the Jets. With Darrelle Revis in the lineup, Moss' damage against the Jets has been limited. The Jets could take away the outside threat. When the Pats have done damage against Gang Green recently, it has been the underneath threats who went off like they did in 2009 and 2010 regular season games in Foxborough. Why were the Jets so successful in the Playoffs? They took those guys away.
