Jerricho Cotchery to Earn Recognition for Community Work

A lot of Jets are active doing good works for the local community. Few are as active, though, as wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery. This Good Samaritan is going to receive kudos from a local organization for what he does.

Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery will be honored by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office in collaboration with the National Organization for Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) at its fourth annual Black History Month celebration on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. The celebration recognizes distinguished African Americans for their contributions to the community as well as their accomplishments in the field of public service.

The media seems to love feeding off stories that embarrass the team or paint it in a negative light. It is a shame they do not make more of an effort to applaud guys like Jerricho Cotchery who consistently do the right thing. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office seems to care at least. My hat is off to Jerricho for doing the right things and Robert Bianchi and those behind him for noticing.
