Talent Watch: Beef 'O' Brady Bowl

Part two of our bowl game breakdown brings us to the Beef 'O' Brady Bowl. This game features two good small schools, Marshall and Florida International University. Both teams have a lot of talent, but only two the Jets might be looking at for the 2012 Draft in April. These players are Vinny Curry (OLB/DE) of Marshall, and T.Y. Hilton of FIU.

Marshall

Vinny Curry OLB/DE: The announcers of the game made it a point to say that Curry was held in check all night. When in reality, he made his presence felt all night. He may have been kept sackless, but you can be assured that FIU's QB's will be feeling the hits they took from Curry. Curry has a bull rush that is scary good. He is also very quick off the snap. Together, those attributes make Vinny a top pass rushing prospect. The only thing keeping his stock down is his lack of production against top tier opponents. He finished the game with 2 QB Hurries, 2 QB knock downs, 1 TFL, and a hand full of tackles. His stats for the year are: 72 Tackles, 21 for a loss, 11 sacks, 8 QB Hurries, 6 FF, and 3 kicks/punts blocked. The GGM Round Prediction: 2-3

FIU

T.Y. Hilton WR: T.Y. Hilton is the definition of a playmaker. His speed will make him a sought after prospect. He has decent hands, and rout running ability. He does have two areas of concern though. He does have an injury history, and a tendency to be careless with the football. Hilton scored on an option play in the red zone, which shows how versatile he is. He was injured for most of the game, but when he came back, he gave up a costly fumble. He finished the game with 88 receiving yards, and 22 rushing yards with a TD to boot. His stats for the year are: 950 REYDS, 7 RETDs, 101 RUYDS, 1 Punt Return TD. The GGM Round Prediction: 3-4
