Brian Galliford is one of SB Nation's football elders. He has been running Buffalo Rumblings for a long time and has been doing top notch work throughout his tenure there. He was kind enough to answer five of my questions about the game. The first deals with his team's quarterback, who is having by far the best year of his career.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is putting up numbers this year that far exceed anything else he has done in his career. What has been the difference this season compared with his other years in Buffalo?

He put up decent numbers last year, but yes, his production has again risen. The obvious change is the reason for his success: Chan Gailey. It's been quite a while since the Bills had a consistent offensive system in place year-to-year, and Fitzpatrick has really taken to Gailey's style. The two work very well together. Gailey has done a great job of building a unique run-first offense and scheming up pass protections that keep Fitzpatrick clean, as well.
